Car Goes Up in Flames

On the 28th of February at 2am, Police were called to investigate a car on fire in front of the IC internet shop, Central Pattaya.

Police arrived to the scene and discovered a fire coming from the console of a Nissan Sunny car and smoke was bellowing from the bonnet. Police took 30 minutes to extinguish the fire.

Driver of the vehicle, Sakchai Damkham, told Police that he was driving home along Central Pattaya Road when he suddenly smelled petrol. Five minutes later he slowed his car down to stop as he heard a sound come from the console followed by the flames.

The driver stated that he purchased this vehicle from his relative and that the engine had been modified. This may have caused an electric short and be the cause of the fire.

Police took 30 minutes to extinguish the fire.

Better to call the Fire Brigade. :o
