Park-Villas in Jomtien - Any experience?

I am thinking of renting a Villa there for one year.

Does anybody have experience ?

There are a few with same kind of name, if it's this: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Jomtien+Park+Villas/@12.8995549,100.8761121,19.5z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x76dda0cda9c966d1!8m2!3d12.8997212!4d100.8759064  , I was looking for a house to buy in the area (Thappraya/Upper Jomthien) last year and investigating the ads with google image search it quickly became clear many of the villas are also available for short term rent, meaning they could be illegal hotels. Caveat emptor. 

 

EDIT: Ah yes I did visit that particular village. Lots of Russians, of the more rich kind, it seemed. The quality of the houses seemed ok. Took a pass though, the area itself felt somehow wonky. Ended up in dark side, again.

Yes. A tragic tale that the farang only realised when he stopped 'renting it out' and wanted to move in.
