Best place to exchange baht for GBP in Pattaya

Featured Replies

Any advice on the above would be very welcome. (I know that this topic has been covered before but I would like the latest information)

Why would you need £s in Pattaya? Either way, dependent on the amount required, call and negotiate before arrival. That includes the SuperRich outlets at the airport. Compare with TT's offer in Pattaya.

The Gold Bank place on Soi Rungland just gave me a great deal when I bought USD, using Baht, for a trip to Cambodia, only 0.0033% commission over my Currency app’s international rate. Good luck.

Whatever you do, look quick about it. The £ could be a basket case currency before the month is out.

The opposite is true, if the £ is set to drop, this would make it cheaper to buy.

Of course, silly me.

Presumably not for use here but for taking elsewhere, such as the UK.

When I went to the USA I bought 100USD cash from a money changer here to take with me, in case I had a problem with my credit cards or needed to buy something for cash only.

When I go to the UK I always have £20 cash on me too, even though I use cards for every purchase I make there.

Fancy a £500 wager with the loser paying the money to the orphanage.

Lets say 3 months from today. You say we'll be a basket case but I say we'll be at 45 baht for the £ by that date

No thanks. Betting is illegal in Thailand. If it wasn't 50 Baht would be my limit.

I bought some Indian rupees at the TT both on second road. East side of the street, maybe across from Soi 13? Was sent there by a different TT booth. Could even buy small denominations. This is some kind a of a main office. The exchange rate seemed good.

Beautiful swerve even Maradonna would have been proud of.
