Matched 2gb Memory Kits In Pantip?

Hi everyone,

Does anybody know where I can find a high quality matched memory kit, PC3200 unbuffered non-ECC DDR400 184pin DIMM's. Ideally a 2gb (2x1gb) kit, or otherwise a 1gb (2x512mb) kit will do.

Brands: OCZ, Corsair, Crucial, Geil, Infineon, Winbond or... Kingston.

Examples from UK site:

Geil PC3200 1gb dual channel kit

Corsair PC3200 2gb dual channel kit

Geil PC3200 2gb dual channel kit

I've had a look round Pantip and Fortune Town several times and never been able to find any dual channel kits or any brands of memory other than Kingston.

Can anyone advise?

I think your problem is that you're after DDR400, outdated now and in kit form hard to find as you have found out.

I bought 2x1GB Corsair DDR667 recently from Busitek so you could ask if they have any old stock or if they can suggest another place to try. At Panthip l imagine you have already tried Hardware House and JIB so if they can't help then unless you buy second hand the only other places l could suggest are the upmarket shops like Jedi on the ground floor.

I just had a look at some current pricelists from a couple of Singapore SLS stores and found listed Corsair DDR400 in kit form so there is always that option if you can't find it in Bangkok.

DDR2 prices have been falling over the past month, not sure if that applies as much to DDR. Unless you have a lot invested in an old system have you thought about a full upgrade instead? Wait another couple of months when Core 2 Duo prices will drop again when new models are released and upgrade to a new CPU, motherboard and DDR2 memory.

Just noticed that Cybermind do sell cheaper CL3 Corsair memory, about half the price of what l listed above (CL2).
