Err, yourself.  U.S., UK, Canada (?), Denmark (any more?) do not issue income affidavits.

Only US, UK & AU.

// Actually a very clever move on the Part of BJ; apparently much easier to get the embassies to stop issuing letters than to change the Thai policy about accepting or not accepting them. //

B.J. was not Head of Immigration when Embassies talked about that...

And in the case of UK, Bangkok UK Embassy clearly said it was a decision from London (relative to Private Data Protection), not a decision from Immigration.

Pretty spectacular fall, but he most likely broke someone's rice bowl. It appeared that he was trying to clean up corruption, but I'd be willing to bet he is just as corrupt and just ran into a bigger dog in the feudal society that rules the kingdom.

To have been transferred to an inactive post means that you have been found guilty of some wrongdoing. Normally the powers that be have one month to hold an enquiry to determine your fate, you could be kicked out of the force with no pension rights or just reinstated with apologies!

Who knows what happened. 22 pages of speculation already, this could end up to be a record.

Right, most foreigners I speak to don't know the truth about big joke.

He is used by general Timex for extortion around the country.

Speaking to policeman, I hear that they hate this guy as he is acting way over his rank, outside his own territory.

They had enough of the army and made him an example.

You know nothing, you write this crap and and really have no idea, you may be right but tell your story when you know something not badmouthing someone just because you do not agree with him.

Have they suddenly realised that the loss of all the £ $ & €'s that us ex-pats contribute to the economy might  move somewhere more accommodating & friendly ??

No, and it is a meaningless amount.

And you really believe that professional liars are actually going to tell the truth. 5555555

He is not the one who was in charge when your embassy decided to stop LOI.

He just extended the seasonal period for the 800k. Not such a big deal.

And BTW, not most of us have been impacted by that.

The embassies only decided to stop the letters when some jumped up self aggrandising official flexed his muscles. BJ's orders dealing with the aftermath was ill thought through, poorly drafted, ambiguous and caused confusion and uncertainty with expats and IOs both. The alteration of the seasoning period was a later knee jerk afterthought with vague 'leniency ' directives causing further confusion still lasting to this day. The post visa 'seasoning' makes no sense ,achieves nothing, other than maybe preventing spending of those funds in the economy.

If I were them I'd react in the same way as the airline reacts to a hysterical passenger after a bad flight (no lemon in their g&t perhaps) who loudly proclaims "I'll never fly with this airline again"

Reasons are: Auditors discovered the numbers of foreigners arrested and supposedly removed did not match the numbers announced by BJ.

BJ always stated that there are no more overstayers in the kingdom, fake info.

The Big Boss has been reading TV on regular basis....555

Reasons are his job against corrupted immigration officers is reaching some influential family.
