BANGKOK, 9 April 2019 (NNT) - People are shopping for varied kits to play with water such as water pistols and waterproof bags in Sampeng-Yaowarat area during a current holiday ahead of the upcoming Songkran festival, though this year has not seen so many shoppers as in previous years.

Our news crew have surveyed Sampeng and Yaowarat areas where many people have come to buy kits for Songkran festival.

According to vendors, the best-selling items include Thailand-made waterproof bags which sell by the dozen for 100 to 150 baht, followed by China-made waterproof bags with cartoon characters and small-sized plastic backpacks which sell for 30 baht each.

However, the volume of items sold this year has not looked as high as in previous years, they said.

Small-sized water pistols which sell for 90 baht each have become the best-selling items, followed by large-sized water pistols which sell for a range of 180 to 380 baht each.

Most planned festival goers would come to Sampeng area to shop for inexpensive water kits. Besides, artificial flowers and artificial garlands are available for sales by the dozen for 120 baht, waterproof eyeglasses by the dozen for 180 baht, swim tubes and beds, made of rubber, sell for a range of 200 to 800 baht each.

However, the Sampeng vendors hoped for more shoppers for Songkran water kits over the next few days.

Quick you still have the time.

Order a top load freezer.

Nothing worser than hot beer.

Unless you are from the UK

At Big C you could find one spray for 59 baht, and it even connects to the wall outlet.

Continious action.

With testing in water tanks too.

Bought a couple of defective ones a few times.  Sucks when you get there and your new watergun is useless!

What do they do with the ones they bought last year ?

Same with blankets given to the poor in a rare cold snap.

I have never caught anyone actually doing it but I can only think that they eat them ??
