Damn I hope this VDO (Footy - Then v Now) uploads correctly.   Otherwise I will pack up my Tonka truck, climb out of the sandpit and never return.

Power was out all day till 2nd half of footy started last night.

Was probably lucky not to watch the start as they said we were 27 points down early.

Well done Will, you got your wish of a friday win.

Some interesting games today.

Gees Alex, that was about as low as Melbourne's ladder postion.????

It was an all day power line upgrade, have a genset but the problem is the internet, phone exchange has only about 4-5 hours battery back up then it's isolation.

Blessed they do these things during the week and not on weekends.

Well gentleman

All over again for this week.

Four picked seven.

Rip has gone back to back and has gotten the Whistlers

due to the margin.

Still close for spots near the top.

Until next week.

Ok gang

Which one do you like?

Personally, I like today's better.

Both are crackers though.

Good morning genitals.   Time to run an opinion poll on our favorite current and past players.

Radar gets all hot and bothered when he sees Ben Cunnington in action.   Unfashionable, an ounce of flair and a ton of mongrel.

Past player??  No description could do this living legend the justice he deserves.

LOL

Good morning to you as well.

Before WC came in, I used to be a Blue Bagger.

My favourite was Kenny Hunter.

But for pure entertainment, hard to go past the Buzz.

Liked both marks there uncle WILL especially  the first....and yes if we need to choose a Blue id go old Bruce D as well....

The best player ever in my mind is either Leigh Mathews or Deremi Brearton leaning towards Dermi due to being a Centre half and a key position in his era...This guy could get him self up week in week out even when beaten was always a threat and could turn a game in a moments breath...

Back in the early days of footy feaver channel 7 use to play a reserves game live to tv and I had the privilege to watch Dermi a few times in the 2cds as a kid......and did he show something lots of smarts and mongrel later developing the flair and quality.....was also the days of Allen Jeans and a star studded Hawk combo, guys lake Brearton amassed 100 games in the twos so when they came up they never went back....

Todays player my pick is WCE captain Shannon Hurn....mr reliable, normally I like the no nonsense type of players that are effective and this guy is solid as a rock, haven't seen him do a thing wrong ever.....of course Lance Franklin is a favourite as well though injuries have made him less effective in recent years..

Hard men for sure.    Dermie would go toe-to-toe, but Lethal was a sniper.

The Kid was also a an excellent public speaker.   Some of his stories were possibly even true.

He was once asked who was the toughest backman he played on.   He answered that Peter Foster for Footscray was tough, but also apparently very clumsy.   Whenever he jumped for a mark, and Foster tried to spoil, he would usually cop a flying fist to the back of his skull or ear on its way through to the ball.

Did both being Sandgropers influence your call, WILL?   Then there was John Dorotich from the same era who was just a groper.

I was at Princes Park standing behind the dugout when Bosustow took that hanger, and it represents my fifteen micro-seconds of fame.   People still recognise me on the streets.

Is that really you Radar?

The Buzz has really blown out.

Was in front of me at the local fish and chip shop once and

he ordered half a groper and $200 worth of chips.

Went to a sportman's lunch once and Dermie and Woosha were guest speakers.

I love Woosh but he's had a charisma bypass.

Dermie on the other hand, spoke really well.

Some of his stories about Lethal and the old days were fantastic.

FJ, what do you think about Norf's top 10 players?

Greg Williams could play a bit.

I remember a game a couple of years back and one of the commentators was singing the praises of a player and said..."doesn't he remind you of Greg Williams?"

The much older guy sharing the box said sadly... "how soon they forget".

Alex Jesaulenko was a personal favourite.

Guys like Aylett and Foote were before my time.

I would of had Drew Petrie and Mick Martyn in that list but everyone there is deserved of their spot.

Paul Roos and Wayne Carey were equally my favourite players.

Also used to love watching Van Der Har,Peter Knights,Trevor Barker,Gary Ablett Snr and Bernie Quinlan.

Different era to the hard running, stat gathering players of today.

Well it's official Jack Steven definitely wants to go to Geelong.   Put in a request last year but Richo had it squashed so Steven pulled the mental health card and not playing.  He has again requested a trade even tho he's still contracted to the end of 2020.  If he doesn't will probably take a sicky next year on full pay.  If he does get it just watch the miraculous recovery.

The trouble you have now Chooks is that he's damaged goods.

Will probably only get a 2nd rounder for him.

Yep and Geelong will know very well that he has played the mental health card and will get a champ at basement bargain price.

Saints champ still wants trade to Cats, Richo thinks

Maybe not a footballer but good mates with Adam Goodes and financed his doco about racism.

2GB broadcaster Steve Price has suggested basketballer Ben Simmons doubled down on claims of racial profiling at Crown Casino in order to boost prospects for a documentary about Adam Goodes he helped to finance.

During his show on Tuesday, The Project host raised the question of whether Simmons was using the Crown incident as a marketing opportunity for his film.

Simmons is a financier and executive producer of an Adam Goodes documentary that he wants screened in the US market.

Actualy WILL Cats have to trade with Saints to get him...only as a FA or limited FA do the ARFL get involved, looking back on a few trades not out of the realms 2 first round picks is the currency....

You've lost me.

I know the Cats will have to trade for him.

A 30 year old with mental health issues ain't even going to get a first rounder let alone two IMO.
