I have been a keen punter with The Thailand Mob since 2016, and can't remember ever having tipped against Carlton......despite The B.lose very ornary record for the duration.   Loyalty and logic are not compatible.  And just like FJ, I all-too-often tip outrageously unlikely winners in order to chase my losses.

 

My stars have lined up this week, and Powerball has hit a 40M dollar jackpot.

KhunWilly's dogs are safe for one more week, and getting some extra somtum treats today!

 

Eagles Missing half their team, topped up with under 12s from the local school comp,  , the St Kilda lads still couldn't get past the big dogs.  Saints looked like a top 4 finisher earlier this year

 

All those Tim Kelly doubters now praising the young lad and his game ????

Except for Fj the Thai based Aussies do well in tipping.....must be all that free time you guys get sitting on the veranda watching the grass grow, study every game as its played and then the reruns hey? Whilst we here in Austland still have a busy life to lead, but you say especially Vics and corvid we can be watching the reruns too, nooo we are under stress....use to a busy life you know  the high light of the week is going food shopping 4 times....every second day just to get out of the joint...i played FM20 for 5 hrs yesterday watch some youtube then went to bed....after tossing and turning for 90 min got up and did another 2 hrs on FM20....and i wouldnt go to bed untill i finnished my first season....what is Chooks doing to stay healthy.....and Radar...cant forget he.....if i do he will remind me super pronto....were are Vics stuck in corona heaven....

 

No i didnt watch the game, Saints just making up the numbers....they might be lucky to survie actually ......in 2 ys....Ratten is the man....and a good case for recycle coaches, you know even the great Norm Smith didnt do well at first, was told by my old mentor who was a die heart Lion that they got the great Demon full forward in Norm was poached to be playing coach of Fitzroy in those days the the Lions were like Hawthorn, racking up premierships only second to the Pies, as old Merv said the players never took to Norm and pretty much under played the season forcing him out at the end.....Merve was disgusted dont think he ever got over how his team treated Norm Smith....history shows Norm went back to Melbourne then set the best recored ever whilst the Lions never showed up again....ever, like i can still recall the rivalry just, still a surburan league Lions were working class along with Collingwood, Collingwood cottages were so tiny you wonder how people lived in them and they surrounded Victoria Park, if there ever was high density living that was it, Collingwood, blue collor as they come, Fitzroy like Richmons had a sprinkling of middle class abodes, a little bit more money....but Melbourne....hahaha well have you been to East Melbourne? us and them for sure....though there use to be a few pokie joints on the fringe of the city....you can understand why blue blood Norm never was accepted at the Lions den....casue it was still very much a class thing even right up to the start of the 80's. 

 

Allen Jeans won a flag with the Saints, think he had been a Saint threw and threw, in them days you pretty much stuck to where you statrted, at the time the Saints were seen as a club that would take 3 flags easy this is early 60's so good they appeared. recall exwifes GF's BF saying to me he thought Allens Jeans was a poxy coach that he wasnt up to it as a coach and that he wouldnt do any good at the Hawks, well wish i had of bumbed into that guy again later....Jeans went on to rewrite the Hawks history books, seen as a lucky hack at the Saints it turned out the Saints wernt that good and that the coach "was the man".....

 

Robbie "hit them in the back of the head as you go for a mark" Walls and David Parkin got recycled a few times....they did ok, so you know there would be more so why do clubs not trust these guys to front up again.....

Fagan is doing fine at Brisbane as a father figure coach,other clubs are preferring players fresh out of the game.

I guess it is industry forced now with needing the required accreditation and not just common sense.

Always thought Ken Sheldon was hard done by when at the Saints.

Gary Ayres won a premiership with Port Melbourne a couple of years ago so proves he still has the nous.

Speaking of re-runs a friend just gave  me a link and his password to Kayo Sports that includes on demand replays of AFL games. (Needs a VPN).

I've not really had time to check it out properly yet... too much time spent sitting on the back deck, plus the new Wilbur Smith novel is out so the tipping this week was mainly based on noticing that the Eagles were playing St Kilda and the big guy was back.

I've got/had Kayo, used it for the cricket.

Thought it was excellent.

 

I might cancel my watchafl membership for next year and just use Kayo.

I use Livenet tv and quite a few of the games on fox footy come up blank saying switch to Kayo.

Then it's a mad scramble over to Livetotal sports or Vipbox to pick up the game.

I will remind you super pronto that my 'lil old hillbilly town is just one big happy family.    There's plenty to do everyday, as simple things amuse simple minds.   I have a home which is mobile, and six cars which aren't.

 

The footy season got cancelled due to that virus thingy, but if we can stop all the young fellas and sheilas from straying too far over summer, we should have the numbers for a team in 2021.    Maybe changing the club logo would boost interest.

GIven Richmond seems to have a lot of injuries, their depth is impressive.

I believe if you outscore Tigers in the 1st quarter your more than half a chance.

Geelong weren't allowed to get into full mode.

The only positive for them will be to get Selwood and Ablett back.

 

All the talk on Fox pregame was about Hawkins Island.

It was more like Gilligans Island.

One goal until 3 quarter time.

 

Barring any upsets, Port will play Geelong in the first final and I'm tipping Geelong.

Brisbane to host Richmond and I'll be tipping the Tiges.

 

At this stage it's looking like a Richmond V Geelong GF.

 

I don't think Brisbane can win it without Harris Andrews and the home team expectations will be huge for them.

 

TBH, if WC can't win it, I don't care who does as long as it's not Richmond.

To paraphrase PM Keating, it was the loss Geelong had to have.   The forward line failed to click, but that won't happen again leading up to the finals..   I'm tipping the Pussies for Premiers.

 

On another note, how good has Dylan Grimes been without Alex Rants soaking up the glory.   Gets my nod for the BP Quiet Achiever medal.

And over my dinner last night reports of rumblings out of the MCG over Bartlets handling of one of the tenet clubs a few would like him to pack his bag and head back to Perth....moves to get a favorite son to stand against he in a bloodless coup so far has proved fruitless, WILL be interesting to see what happens next two week, if the team bombs big time "something (WILL be) is in the air" like, many are not happy with coaches contract extension as well as the "big guy" not being able to work with Jackson before the briliant manager packed his bag for better things......seems the rats are Bartlets backside pushed back for the moment only.....

What is it they say? Were taking it one game at a time....fooooooooieeeeeee...they botched it 2 weeks ago, im am not excited, to think that rabble is in the 8 even temporary is a JOKE....watching them trying to work the ball out of defense in the seond half was like a dentist extracting teeth with a pair of plyers.....and forgetting to give the patient a jab of pain killer....

 

I thought GWS pulled there foot of the perverbial accelerator early in the last, to me they looked like they didnt want to win which made our effort look better than what it was...The Scrays should win there next 2 so its down to the the Pies to drop one BUT we have to beat Essendon and thats not a given since they couldnt do Freo or Swans....

 

A quick assement of that red and blue team last night quickly showed me 3 key forwards have droped 20% the third a wopping 50% as he cant even get a game, one of the run and carry guys they bought in is lost in defense, mocca magic keeps pinging his shots around like hes in an arcade game, glad to see my mate Neve Jetta back Goodwin better leave him alone, apart from Christian most have stood still or gone backwards, the forward line works like a broken down old Fj holden long left behind even by a Hyundai Excell....
