Northern, Northeastern Residents Warned Of Tropical, Hail Storms

Northern, northeastern residents warned of tropical, hail storms

The Meteorological Department Monday warned people in northern and northeastern provinces to brace themselves for possible tropical and hail storms.

The department said in a statement that the storms could hit the regions starting from Tuesday and the bad weather could continue until Thursday.

The storms could happen because of influence of a powerful high pressure mass from China, which is moving downwards and could reach the Northeast of Thailand on Tuesday.

Air's filthy today in Chiang Mai. Like fog.

Up here in Chiang Rai, we got clear skies. I welcome the storm and hail (mary) - it gets me high.

Today's weather.com forecast called for sunny skies for Chiang Mai through Friday, only because they have no symbol for "hopelessly polluted, clogged air." A rain that washes out the dust and smoke is more than welcome.

Can barely see across the road here, dunno where bumbugger gets his clear skies from. Unless it clears dramatically in the 20kms between here and CR.
