A TV personality, as well as a marine expert who had recently visited the Notre-Dame Cathedral before it was largely destroyed by a huge blaze on Monday local time, have written in memory of the city’s iconic landmark.

OTTAWA (Reuters) - Four people where shot dead in Penticton, British Colombia, on Monday and a suspect is in custody, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said in a statement.

Thailand sees dip in hotel prices

The latest Hotel Price Index (HPI) from Hotels.com revealed no sign of a slowdown for the global travel industry. The price travellers paid for overnight accommodation rose 3 per cent globally in 2018 across every regional index, except for the Pacific including Thailand.

Parents offer reward for arrest of suspected killer of their innocent son

The parents of a Mathayom 4 schoolboy who was shot dead in Trang’s Muang district last December have this week offered a Bt50,000 reward to anyone who could provide information leading to the arrest of the 51-year-old suspect after the police investigation into the case had so far failed to result in apprehension of the wanted man.

Trains packed with passengers returning from Songkran holidays

Billionaire Arnault's family and LVMH to donate 200 million euros for Paris' Notre-Dame

PARIS (Reuters) - French billionaire businessman Bernard Arnault's family and his LVMH luxury goods group will donate 200 million euros ($226 million) to help repair Paris' Notre-Dame cathedral, said a statement issued on behalf of Arnault.

PHUKET: An American man and his Thai partner say they are in hiding from Thai authorities and are fearful for their lives after the Royal Thai Navy filed a police complaint against them over a “seastead” living platform built in the waters more than 40 kilometres south of Phuket.
