It will depend on the immigration officer on the day, visa or no visa. Most Chinese come for a few days only, many of them are first time visitors and thus have no immigration record in Thailand that could be scrutinized by an IO upon arrival. Because if i was to guess, I would say they don't get grilled, we would not want these negative stories we see here circulating on Weibo now, would we? I know two Chinese nationals who've tried what I and many other Westerners have been doing for many years. After a few SETVs issued in China, they were told no more (and they cannot just apply elsewhere). Then we've had reports of Chinese nationals refused a VOA and sent back at Bangkok airports. Much like us with visa exempt, apparently they cannot keep getting VOAs forever. All that considered, I'm not surprised that I see more and more ads for ED visa for Chinese who want to spend more time in Thailand. juice777 Posted May 13, 2019 Author Share Posted May 13, 2019 I was planning to go to the Royal Thai Embassy on the Thursday and then fly out on the Friday. I found out I should be completing on 24th.
