rak sa_ngop
Interesting. Taxes alone for BKK to Darwin return are 11,210 baht and flights go through Singapore which means 18 - 30 hour journey times (1 way). Is this supposed to be a good deal? Peter I can only warn people from flying TIGER to Singapore. They CHEAT people, yes I call it CHEAT. as everybody knows, there is a rule that the airport Tax of now 700 Baht has to be included in the fare since 1st of February, but at TIGER it is NOT included !!! though, they don't tell you about this on their website ! I called the hotline in Bangkok and asked about it (cause I was about to book a flight to SG) and that guy admitted the Tax is NOT included. He told me, Tiger would start to include the Tax only from April (indeed it is like that, which I found out browsing the March- and April-fares on their website) Unbelievable that a Singapore-based company, and subsidiary of Singapore Airlines is involved in such a rip-off !!! Every body should avoid flying such airlines NOW, and as well in the future.... Edited March 6, 2007 by THAILIBAN

nonthaburial
Being cynical I am afraid I always treat these announcements from LCC with total lack of interest. When the day comes that they offer a fare that is fully inclusive with no hideden extras is the day I might show a little interest

Peter Go on their website and see what's available. I just did. Nothing much! When dealing with TR (Tiger Airways) or SQ (Singapore Airlines), there's more than that meets the eyes. WYSINWYG (What You See Is Not What You Get). They are skillful at maximum publicity at minimum costs. So Buyers Beware!
