"Sohel goes on to claim that the treatment works for both gay men and lesbians, though it is unclear how exactly semen-eating anal worms would survive in most lesbian relationships."

Oops! Please accept my sincere apologies ladies.

How did they find this out? Now I will need to report back to the mother ship so we may find another way of creating our legions of hairdressers and florists.

Ooo do tell.

Once had a gay prime minister in the UK. Edward Heath. I once dropped a greenie on him outside Manchester Town Hall. Not because he was gay, he was just a complete twot.

She is referring to the Schistosoma Haematobium trematode worm which causes schistosomiasis.  It's a common parasite, it normally infects around the bladder, but can, in some cases also infect other areas, including the semen and the veins of the anus.  It is not contagious from person to person, it is contracted via water, requiring an aquatic snail host as part of its life cycle.

These parasites are very common in Mali and there have been a few cases reported of semen infection and anal infection in sexually active homosexual men, however, there is no suggestion that it was passed from semen to anus, only that it can infect both of those places, the assumption is that it was contracted the normal way, through being submerged in water inhabited by infected snails.  Perhaps sexual activity resulted in an easier passage for the trematode, as they break their way in through the skin and into a vein, broken skin makes infection far more likely.

According to Wiki, "this worm does not take the life cycle in Kuwait" and "people who are carrying these worms in their bodies, the infection will be limited to them and not exceed them to others."

Such an outstanding piece of work could surely only been possible with the help of Thai Scientists ?

There's always one isn't there who no matter what the topic is and no matter how remote that topic is relative to Thailand, (in this case there is no connection) they manage to route out a snide comment against the country.

TVF at its best!

There is no hard evidence that Ted Heath was gay.

Indeed, Private Eye reported that he'd attempted to pay a lady 'cellist and her husband (boyfriend?) to have sex in front of him for his titillation.  Hardly the action of a gayer.

Most people would struggle to provide hard evidence with Ted Heath in the room. Cyrill Smith, well that's another story!

hard evidence, ooh er. Had to keep it secret before '67 then it became a habit.
