Skin Cancer Hua Hin/Chaam/Petch

Featured Replies

I appear to have basal cell carcinoma on my cheek. Any recommendations in Hua Hin, Chaam, Petchburi?

Am I best going to a clinic first to confirm via tests or straight to a hospital for the full job?

I have BUPA (not outpatient) , would the removal be covered?

Thanks

Any doctor or hospital should check first, remove if needed then confirm with test, had one done at public hospital Patong recently, marble size,5k baht.

Think mine is going to be needed to be cut out, which could be a 3/4 hr operation.

Great value! Reckon it cost a bit more in a private hospital!!

Think I might just make an appointment at Bangkok Hospital in Hua Hin and see how it goes.

Cheers for your quick response and detail, much appreciated

Expect it will be over 25k in private hospital (all mine were - and that was 3-4 years ago at mid range private hospital for wide margin removals on arms) if using plastic surgeon (which seems would be normal for face).  As said this is normally out patient procedure so not sure insurance will cover anything.  It should be checked first to confirm cancer (and by pathology report as most Thai are not experienced with skin cancer by sight).

There is very little skin cancer among Thai so most do not have experience so you often need to be proactive in getting a biopsy done.
