Although the evidence of the UK bowing to China at every turn doesn't bode well for any deal the UK might try to get. 

 

Perhaps arguing from a position of strength as a member of the largest single integrated market in the world would be a good way to deal with the Chinese.

Good interesting post we can agree on some points.

Many western countries have done stupid things too not just Putin Russia.

As for Russia IMO my take is if only common sense could prevail with US & UK and just talk to Russia and sort things out stabilizing world peace involving China too would be a good thing I would like to see that done in my time.

China is a threat for it's economic power. China is building bridges to gain more power over the world. That's soft power, in a different context we have learned to see it.
 
China's interest is not to have a war, but peace. They do abuse the system western world created. They simply outsmarted us.
 
Russia on the other hand is a threat. It's a country with wast amount of nuclear missiles, which are costing a lot of money to upkeep. Russia is a country of less and less power over the world. Power which Putin tries to restore by any means available.
 
The west did huge mistakes by not taking Putin and the will of the Russian people seriously some 20 years back, when Russia was coming out of the Glasnost cloud. 
 
Had the west, namely USA, been a bit smarter, we would live in a way more peaceful world today. But that's just history.
 
Russia doesn't want to be threatened, nor to be placed as a secondary world power. Their economics has been down since they occupied Ukraine. That was a stupid move by Putin. In a way understandable move as they were so afraid of Ukraine becoming NATO and EU member. 
 
This is where we are now. What excuse can we use to get Russia back to the table of stabile countries? What could Russia give up to get an equal seat on the table with the rest of us?
