You really think that the Thai MD of the company who is an architect, and the other Thai architects had nothing to do with the design?   Where did you get that information from, speculation?

I remember being at my dining room table, on the 21st floor, of a (stout) 21 story condo back home.  A mild earthquake hit, and bounced me around quite intensely.  Apparently it was barely felt at ground level, but heyzues...it was an exciting ride on the 21st floor.  Can't imagine the ride in a skinny 40+ story building...
