Celebrity medium: Nothing illegal in being with a scantily clad woman

Caption: I'm just a professional entertainer

A Thai celebrity medium has hit back at suggestions that he broke the law by appearing on a promotional website with a woman in a bikini.

"Phor Puu Maha Manee" or Chairat Yortphrom said he was just an entertainer earning a living.

He had done nothing wrong - and besides he had made merit beforehand to negate any negativity.

He said he had broken no laws after he was seen being fondled in a state of semi-undress.

He made the comments on his Facebook page.

The celebrity performs rituals for people dressed in the clothing of an ascetic and was appearing on a website as part of a promotional activity to increase membership.

Well that's alright then, all is forgiven. National reputation has been upheld!

And that in my opinion is one of the biggest flaws of Buddhism - at least the form practiced in Thailand. Bad, immoral or "negative" deeds CANNOT be offset (or balanced out) by "making a corresponding amount of merit", whether preemptively (as in this case) or after the bad deed has been committed. True merit solely dwells on the concept that a good deed must be accomplished SELFLESSLY and without the expectation of earning any reward for it. Not that a charlatan like this self-appointed "medium" would be capable of grasping such a complicated concept.

And if there's still an outrage, a wai will smooth it completely over. Might even produce some home porn for the same price.

I think that medium is how he likes his meth cooked

the merit-making like criminals going to confession in church, pay some monk and all sins are swept under the carpet

Making merit seems to be the Thai way for glossing over a multitude of sins!

Yawn

Anybody know how to remove blurred pixels on a photo ?....just asking ... :whistling:

To even things out, someone should slap his face. That way you could strike a happy medium.

Just shows you don't understand the faultless concept of Thai Buddhism....

I think it should be compulsory ugly ones out babes in.

that should stir the pot with some vigor lol.

Seems like much to do about nothing when there are so many other things that would aggravate most people and go largely unnoticed.
