One and half Euros per month.

Do you really think that is meaningful for the people of Europe? One and half Euros per month.

Don't you worry, Portugal awaits...Personally I would have preferred Ventnor ...????

Had the Germans won the war, we all would probably enjoy rather better and more fun stance towards sex.

Perhaps you would, Goering I read was available if you wore light blue...????

No, but guess they can put their rally cars around the wicket better than most other teams

Is your Goering same as Hermann Göring?  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermann_Göring

Yep, I don't have a double dot keyboard thingy, it's a British spelling....????

Another referendum? Of course. But not just for the U.K. For every member state of the E.U. Question A: Would like your country to remain a member of the E.U. in its current form? Question B: Would you like your country to have a free trade agreement with other European countries and nothing over and above that?

Finland has adapted electricity and produces it with nuclear power.

I hope this latest trend of electricity finds its way to the UK as well.

But seriously, why do people play an watch cricket? It's like baseball in slow motion.

I can understand getting drunk during daytime, which I guess is the whole idea of cricket?

If you don't or can't understand a sport how can you ever understand Brexit....?   ????

We Europeans worry mostly about the impacts of Brexit to us. We do also worry about the impacts of Brexit to the United Kingdom.

We already have a weak and messed up neighbour with nuclear weapons in the east. We don't want one just next to us in the west as well.

Unstable UK is a security threat, which needs to be addressed. Hopefully it doesn't go that far, but it's definitely a thing to be considered and evaluated at this time.

The biggest security threat to Europe is the EU itself.

You got that wrong.

No. The whole idea of the EU was to take that European internal threat away.

Now when UK becomes outsider, it becomes possible yet another Soviet Union. Unstable group of counties, which no longer wish to be together as there are better entities to be with, outside of the current one.

Scotland will be the first to move it's position from the United Kingdom towards European Union. Northern Ireland might to the same. Wales.. well, who really even thinks what Wales does. Nobody. Even the spell checker suggest that Wales is not a real word and should be replaced with Whales ????

The closest comparison to the Soviet Union today.....is the European Union.

Your erroneous calculations.

Quite the opposite. We are not planning to close our borders and limit the freedoms of our citizens.

Brexit UK on the other hand is about to do exactly that.

The EU wants to expand borders but further limit the freedoms of its citizens.

The UK on the other hand wants to get away from all that.

Just now, oilinki said:

Oh, why don't you offer your own calculations.

Math is funny in the way, that it can be checked by all. It's not faith based, like the ideas brexiteers like to offer. Sciences are your weak point.

Your math is certainly funny. What science do you know?

Not true.

EU allows us all to live and work where ever we want in our Union.

I value the rights my EU gives to me, very highly.

I also dislike the stupid visa/work permit things I have to do here in Thailand. I really do like freedoms.

It's true and it's going to get a lot worse. If the EU lets you do so much there, why are you even in Thailand?

Just now, oilinki said:

My math is correct and easily replicated by anyone. I'm from physics side.

No. It's wrong. Sorry.

Just now, oilinki said:

Lols. Faith dictates you.

It's not difficult to calculate 9 billion divided by 500 million and 12. But I guess that is overwhelming task to the people who only have faith on their side.

No...it's not ... but there's only max 70 million people in the UK and you didn't convert Pounds to euros.

I don't think Cable honestly believes that a strong showing in the local Council elections means very much.

The fact is that a great many people selected LibDem as a protest vote against the other 2 major parties.

The real test will be in the European Elections later this month.  I suspect both Conservatives and Labour will be punished by the electorate for their abject failures over the Brexit referendum.

The LibDems are in danger of marginalising themselves as a single issue anti-brexit Party, and will slip into further irrelevance.  We live in interesting times.

I voted for Brexit, not because of the campaign, but because I have lived through 46 years of being in the Common Market (a great idea) which then morphed into the Socialist States of Europe - which has more in common with communist lite idealism.

I already said that I'm from physics side. We tend to concentrate to the larger picture. A year have about 400 days, pound, dollars and Euros are pretty much the same.

That is the way, you can do fast calculations in your head. Then, if required, finetune the calculations later on. Understanding the larger picture is often worth of kicking out the minor details.

Dollars same pounds...about 400 days... yes.....I see. I just used 12 months....seemed easier...but what do I know? ????

I have this rather disturbing and vivid image in my head of a certain poster sitting there in his EU flag emblazoned gimp outfit fondling his keyboard between posts.

Just wonder how many of the British Brexiteers posting on this forum actually spend much time in the UK or pay UK income tax?

I don't spend any time in the UK.

However I have been paying income tax since I was 15 and I will have to until I die.

That will be 60 years this month. How about you?

It is an umlaut if I remember from when I worked in Germany.

um·laut
/ˈo͝omˌlout/
LINGUISTICS
noun
1.
a mark ( ¨ ) used over a vowel, as in German or Hungarian, to indicate a different vowel quality, usually fronting or rounding

Would it be fair to say, that you are a bit stupid and not really worth of serious reply?

Or would that honest answer be too honest, too straight forwar, too whatever.

You know, things we are not always allowed to say directly here on TV.

Why are you so upset?  You used to debate quite sensibly on this topic.  Or maybe I'm thinking of a different Finn.
