Bet you that 'disgraced and sacked' Public Servant is back in the ranks with his pension rights fully restored and his life as easy as it was before. That's the way it works here; wait until everyone has forgotten and the media warned off and back they come.....just in a different office ! thailand49
This section of government is one of the major ingredients as to why thing continue as they do. This is what Chan O should do. Remove and not transfer this idiot out of his government position and not to hold any office in Thailand. Remove and not transfer all the superiors who bucket under the influence of whoever made the call for the transfer. Put the individual who made the call for the transfer in jail for obstruction! Last, suspend the officer for two weeks without pay for bucketing under and allowing the driver to just drive off then reinstate and promote him in the department! If you start applying justice to rid the legal system of bad actors, there would be nobody left to turn off the lights.

However, to me there is a certain irony that Prayut has intervened to 'appear' to uphold the law. He himself has put himself above the law by IIRC absolving himself in advance of anything he may be charged with in the future. New brooms (if that should ever happen) sweep clean and old laws can be revoked. But you are correct in your statement of Prayut putting himself above the law but not beyond - only death will do that.
