HI,

I KNOW THIS IS PROBABLY A STUPID QUESTION, BUT CAN I EXTEND MY 30 TOURIST VISA, BY A FURTHER WEEK BY SIMPLY GOING TO THE IMMIGRATION AT Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Bangkok, OR WOULD I HAVE TO GO ON A VISA RUN. MANY THANKS TO ANYONE WHO REPLIES.

PLEASE turn off your <Caps Lock> :o

OK. I assume you have a 30 day tourist visa waiver stamp. These are not normally extendable although if you have outgoing flight tickets and plead a lot you may get lucky with a 7 day extension, cost 1900 Baht.

You need to go to immigration in Bangkok rather than the airport immigration which is something of an unknown quantity as far as extensions are concerned.

Failing that a border run is in order, from Bangkok cost is 2000 Baht usually including a bite to eat.

Obviously both options assume that you are within the 90 day limit imposed on visa waiver entries.

Thanks for that Crossy,

I think the border run is the best idea, I'm on my second tourist visa waver stamp at the moment. Thanks again.

The extension for a 30days visa waiver stamp is easy, no question ask.

THB 1,900.- , Pick up Form @ Information counter , 1 Passport photo 4x6cm required.

Gives you nowadys only 7days.

I presume the above information is totally wrong?

Last time I went 30 day visa exempt extensions of 10 days were available for 1900B, though it sounds like only 7 days now from others posts, which may or may not be wrong>? Any definative answer please?
