Endometrial Ablation - Doctor recommendation (BKK or Chiangmai)

Featured Replies

Hi, it's been recommended that I consider endometrial ablation for my endometriosis. I've always preferred heading to Thailand for any potentially painful procedures because it's nice to have doctors and nurses who care about your pain (fibromyaglia is a real...pain, lol). I've never had an OB-GYN in Thailand before and I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for one in Bangkok or Chiangmai whom I can seek out. And if anyone has hospitals that are better for this sort of surgeries in either city, please feel free to drop a recommendation. I've been to Bangkok Hospital in Chiangmai but only for fibromyalgia related stuff.

I am not aware of anyplace in Thailand doing this and can't find any mention in the literature. Surgical treatment of endometriosis here remains laparoscopy for women who want to preserve fertility and hysterectomy for the rest.  It is mostly handled by fertility specialists.

Singapore is a better bet as it tends to be more advanced medically.

Ahhhh dang, I was hoping to get someone in Thailand as the healthcare professionals here are a lot less compassionate in their attitudes towards people who have chronic pain issues. Oh well, I'll have to reach out and ask. Thanks!
