Just applied for my one year o visa based on marriage to a thai in savahkanet today all went smoothly very quick but a lot more people here than last time all my documents in order no mention medical insurance yet  it may take a while to impliment who knows

It would not apply to you anyway since you were not applying for a OA long stay visa which you can only get in your home country or country of legal residence.

Yes and there will be more people there. Because of Vientiene chaos.

I'm on a spouse extension of stay, does that mean that I won't have to have health insurance when I re-apply in December?

It has been confirmed that is does not apply to any extension of stay application.

It is only for a OA long stay visa application at a embassy.

I arrived at the queue at maybe 9.20am. Last year was in queue as the unlocked the gate. I think it's actually better turning up a touch later than earlier unless you are right up the front.

Half as many people as last year.

The form I downloaded from here was no good and I was given Lao one instead.

The traffic in this town is incredible. I don't understand. It feels like people just drive around all day for the hell of it. Like Lao version of the truman show.
