Thailand's tech police announced the arrest of a woman in Nonthaburi who they say was a member of a call center gang preying on Thai people.

Wasana Phumat, 25, from Sa Kaew province was arrested in Bang Kruai, Nonthaburi, reported INN.

The gang associated with her is alleged to have pretended to be officials of the post office.

They called people to say that police had found their names on or in parcels containing drugs.

In order to display their innocence they were conned into transferring money to the gang's bank account.

There were three million baht in losses.

Wasana denied being part of the gang. She said she had lent her ATM and bank details to a male friend.

She was charged with fraud and detained.

Ah, so had there really been drugs, these people would have been paying money to be accessories to a crime.

Cracking deal.
