Beware: SMS scam - Horo4u

Featured Replies

I noticed getting loads of SMSs from 4761146 Horo4u.

Next thing I know my bill is double. They charged every message I recieved!!

I went to True today. They kindly said they will remove the charges from my bill within 7 days.

I asked them where it came from cos I was confused. I didnt sign up to anything. They asked me if I have been visiting websites and watching videos and she was going through my browsing history to try to find the offending website. They said it comes from some video website. Probably Pornhub, lol.

Anyone else had this?

My gf had this about 8 weeks ago. True again............

Even though they stopped it a couple more appeared on the next bill as they had only reversed the charges on the current bill.

Yes, hundreds of threads/posts here over the years. Tens of thousands of complaints on Thai social media.

Lucky lotto, footy scores, many, many, many SMS services.

Very easy to accidentally subscribe to these services, receive a phone call, open an SMS, website, even a third-party (family member, work colleague punking you, etc.) can enlist you if they have your phone number. Lastly, you've given your number out to many, many, many people and entities, any one of them could have sold your details.

*137 was implemented by the authorities as a universal means to cancel SMS spam.

Yes i've had problems with this as well. In the end had to stop putting credit on my phone because it was just taken straight off by these scammers.
