Elton John slams Russian cuts to 'Rocketman' gay scenes

I saw the movie yesterday.  The sex is very minimal, maybe only one scene where he sleeps with a significant boyfriend.  That consists of rolling around on a bed. Nothing at all like what you are used to seeing between women and men in movie sex.

 

Later that bf cheating on him by getting a blowjob where all you see is the quickest glance of a head between his legs  ...one blink and you would have missed it. I saw a gay male threesome in much more detail on a regular Netflix series the other day which happens to have a gay male character.  I think none of you have seen the movie and are imagining a lot more sex than exists, for one thing.  Please think bare minimum, mostly a few full on kisses.

 

But yes, some of you are showing your biased thinking in full bloom without realizing it at all it seems.  I was thinking at one time it must have been a first to show interracial couples having sex ...that was not common and it probably pissed off a lot of devoted racists and mildly surprised others to see it?

 

It is quite interesting all the negative comments you guys are throwing out at him, the self absorbed, comments about his marriage ....yes, that was in there as well as a girlfriend.  By the way, what was a gay person to do but try to fit in.  I’m pretty sure they were expected to marry, try to have kids, told to do that by doctors, clergy, anyone they might have gone to for advice.  Famous people were told to hide it and fake it.  In the military?  Oh no.  You guys are really judgemental and unempathtic about everything ...unless it is smiling Thai girls I guess looking UP at you???

Did we get that news story on Thai Visa yet?  Might be the reason he is getting some negative press.

Sorry, but I saw it couple days ago, and while it may have segments of his life in it, it's a fantasy musical, not a documentary. 

The bits that apparently got cut out were insignificant in the context of the movie, unnecessary to the plot, and added nothing to the story. If people want to see two blokes kissing with no clothes on, that's fine, but it didn't make any difference to the film if that wasn't in it.

Overall, despite a confusing start, an enjoyable movie, but I wouldn't pay to see it again.

 

BTW, just to be clear, I am an Elton John music fan.

What movie was that in? If it was in Rocketman I must have blinked and missed it.
