The driver of a pickup truck spinning out of control was killed when a van carrying factory workers crashed into him in Pathum Thani on Sunday morning.

Five people in the van and a passenger in the pickup were injured in the mishap at the neck of a bridge in Klong Luang district

Van driver Sutee Panjamanee told police he saw the pickup approaching from the opposite direction when “it suddenly started spinning”, too close for him to avoid.

Sutee, who was not hurt, said he was on his way to Chachoengsao province.

Theres one of the causes, the other will be wet road and zero brains,  note the boy racer  wheels.

I wondered how the driver died,  The cabin of the Ute (pickup) does not seem to have been penetrated, and the windscreen remains intact.

Pure speculation, but if he wasn't wearing a seatbelt then either he was thrown out or his neck was broken by the airbag as he was propelled foreward unrestrained.

Surely this should have been a survivable collision. The passenger was injured.

In Thailand "close" could be 500 meters....less it's too close, cause no brain.

Level of reporting is abysmal. The idiot who lost control crashed into the work van obviously!! Not the other way around.

I'm a journalist who has worked with local journalists, and not one of them would last a week in the UK.
