robertmueller Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 In Bangkok 1. Endometriosis We (my wife and I) are searching for a personal recommendation for a specialist for endometriosis. Or if you can't name such specialist could you please recommend a gynecologist with good diagnostic skills. Male or female doctor is no criteria, as knowledge, experience, skills and equipment is important. Cost no criteria! 2. Yearly check up Could you please recommend a doctor or a Women's Health Center for the yearly check up, e.g. with Digital Mammography and ThinPrep cytology PAP smears etc. Thank you very much for your recommendations. Best regards, Rob
Sheryl Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Are you wanting to have children/more children? Makes a big difference to management. If you want to retain fertility then need to be treated by fertility specialist.Sent from my SM-J701F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
robertmueller Posted June 6, 2019 Author Posted June 6, 2019 Sheryl, Thanks. No. Therefore no fertility specialist required. We are looking for an endometriosis specialist in Bangkok, as specified in the topic title before! Language is no problem, as long as the Doctor speaks Thai, Mandarin, German, English, French, Italian, Spanish or Swedish.
uhuh Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 1. Prof. Damrong He can be accessed through the after-hours clinic at Chula or through Bumrungrad. 2. I would try Samitivej. Their doctors changed, but hopefully the new ones are just as good as the ones that left. 1
Sheryl Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 https://www.bumrungrad.com/doctors/Kamthorn-Pruksananonda For check up, any hospital will do. You have basically 2 options: 1. Go direct to the health check up center (no appointment needed) and purchase a check up package inclusive of thin prep and mammogram (you can add those on to a low end package, no need to get high end package just to include those tests). Samitivej is indeed good for this if cost is not a major concern. If it is, then St Louis Hospital on Sathorn. 2. Have `a doctor order these tests - for the thin prep no problem as she will be seeing a Gyn anyway, he can do the thin prep while he is at. You can also ask him to order a mammogram but in some hospitals they will insist it be ordered by a specialist in breast surgery (except when done `as part of a check up package). 1
robertmueller Posted June 7, 2019 Author Posted June 7, 2019 Dear Uhuh Dear Sheryl Thank you sooo much for your recommendations. We really appreciate your help in this regard. We will proceed as you suggested. Thanks a lot. Best regards, Rob
