I wouldn't like to speculate on why you would need that much. Or perhaps the smallest quantity available?

it cleans up blood stains really well .

ok ok,  the real answer (if your wonderment is genuine)  is that people who use "epsom salt"  for soaking

their feet or other parts can go through I kg  in a week or two.    For those reading this ( few, i would imagine...and even less that care  haha)  , older folks and especially active people are deficient in magnesium.   Supplements help (better absorbed with boron supplement),  and epsom salt is magnesium as well and will be absorbed thru the skin into the areas that are sore.

I was thinking more of the purging effect, taken internally. I would have thought plain old salt ( sodium chloride ) would have been just as good for soaking the feet.

I did this already if you go in between Com city & 2nd rd before you hit the intersection across from the temple on Pattay Tai (cant miss that landmark) there is a Chinese herb shop. If you have a problem finding it ask either the taxi drivers or the stalls around they will know the vendor .She has ben here for at least 15 years that I have been here & Ask for DaKlua that is the Thai word for epsom salt. pretty reasonable. Damn hard to believe none of the hospitals use this or know it exists. There answer was rock salt LOL. Good luck.
