I recently received an setv and as per the flight schedule i provided them they wrote my entry date and exit date with a pen on the visa sticker.

Is it normal or something strange. Can I enter Thailand before that day on a new ticket.

Any reports on this before about writing the dates on travel on setv sticker with a pen.

This is going to be interesting, I wonder if they're doing something new here? Where did you get the visa from, which city?

You can come and go as you please within the confines of the visa and also extend your stay at immigration and change your flight schedule, exit destination should you choose to do so.

I had an issue before. I posted about it in another thread before. I was told to get setv visa and not visit Thailand on voa as I frequently visit to see girlfriend. Now I am not sure why they wrote the entry exit date with pen. The dates they wrote with pen is the same as the the original fully paid tickets I provided them. But now my plans have changed. And I am worried about the setv.

A couple of times I have been issued with a tourist visa and the dates hand-written in pen. Absolutely no problem at all when entering the country.

At what Thai consulate did you receive this visa?

I would not worry about those dates written on your visa. They may be there for internal use at the embassy or consulate where you applied for the visa.

They will mean nothing to immigration when you enter the country.  They will only look to see your visa is still valid and stamp you in for 60 days.
