They can’t get rid of prostitution. Their tourist numbers would shrink drastically. That’s a lot of money pouring into Thailand from sexpats and whore mongers. The only temples most of those guys want to see are the ones on the chests of bar girls and lady boys. Sodom and Gomorrah needs that money!! Leave them alone!

This quite literally following yesterday's story about an institutional who*ehouse that was busted for human trafficking but as prostitution and corruption so ingrained in the society - it rose again.

 

Must be a few thousand girls working on Ratchada any night. Wonder if prostitution exists in Thailand? Pay a visit and ask these women for sex assuming they don't ask you first.

 

Typical Asian inscrutability and hypocrisy.

 

In 1975 or 2025 If Thailand is known for one thing - it's ass.

What rubbish, The only thing that "coherst" them into prostitution is poverty. And the fact they provide for their parents shows maturity and responsibility.

But if you think that providing for ones parents is a 'Cultural belief' then you are probably one of those spoiled people who neglect their old ones to rot alone in some far forgotten place.

I don't think it's laws that are out of step with reality, more like the ruling elite is out of step with reality and  their understanding of what their country is actually like!

Working as a freelance prostitute isn't illegal, as long as you don't solicit in public. Discos in Pattaya and Bangkok are full of girls or boys looking to hook up with a customer for the night. They're not breaking any law.

Its illegal mate, just not enforceable (or more accurately, some brown envelops are usually involved so the nightclubs won't get any surprise checkups..)
