BANGKOK, 28 June 2019(NNT) - The Deputy Prime Minister on Security has confirmed the return of title deeds to villagers is legal as a working committee has been verifying their legitimacy, with some requiring further inspection; he added he has yet to be invited to take any ministerial position in the new government.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Gen Prawit Wongsuwan revealed he has yet to be invited or filled out any forms to take up a ministerial position with the new government, while the new Cabinet the general public is waiting to see, will be announced after receiving royal endorsement.

He then said regarding complaints from villagers who have had their title deeds returned in the government’s campaign, only to be confiscated afterwards, that he has ordered the police to investigate this matter, saying that a very small fraction of some 20,000 title deeds returned could be affected since there had been no complaints earlier.

He said investigation into title deeds previously returned is not necessary, and reassured villagers there will be no case like this again in the future, adding there are six committee members verifying the process. However the continuation of this campaign, and who will be the key person responsible, depends on the next government’s decision.

The title deeds return campaign has helped informal loan debtors who have used their title deeds as collateral to regain them. Investigations will be made into complaints by some persons claiming their deeds were confiscated agai, after attending the ceremony chaired by DPM Gen Prawit in Lopburi yesterday.

All this nonsense is doing is encouraging poor people to go out and borrow more money, and end up in the same mess as before.

Ole Fatty has not been invited to take any ministerial position in the new government.... WHY?

Because nobody wants him, he is just an embarrassment.

That makes him eminently qualified, there will be no questions, well not many.

It is legal because you say it is legal.

First you confiscate their title deeds and then you return them back and you expect them to thank you. Obnoxious behavior.

Poor chap, he's not looking well is he, thank the lord :cheesy:  :sorry:
