I was able to get my local AIS shop do the necessary. But you're right, your SIM will need to be updated again following your next passport renewal. That after you've made a trip to your bank to update your account with the new passport number!
I thought I would report back as I just picked up my extension at CW.
Confirmed - as advised - that there was no request to see any updated bank balance. I was in and out in five minutes.
There was also no home visit during the under consideration period.
I don't see how complaining about certain things in life supposedly, according to the OP, means you are unhappy.
Complete BS.
It's freedom of speech and back in most expats home countries no doubt the same things were voiced.
Of course complaints about living here on this platform I guess are relatively safe as opposed to complaining in person, which could land you in a whole lot of pain, deformation, LM or simply no service whatsoever, not to mention a battering.
