A 29 year old who was given the nickname "The young 100 million baht fraudster" after conning people over cars has finally been arrested.

Nathaphon Narakarn was arrested by the Crime Suppression Division on check fraud charges issued by Bangkok's Phra Nakorn North court.

He was nabbed at Tops Market in Thong Lor.

His latest scams involve gaining the confidence of golfing equipment outlets with cash payments.

Once they believed him he would get goods on credit and resell. He is responsible for several million baht in losses.

Police found out that he is the same man wanted in connection with the resale of cars for profit that were defrauded from companies and individuals back in 2016.

In that case there were 50 victims and the fraudster gained the nickname "Ayu Noi Roi Laan" - "one hundred million youngster".

Other victims of the fraudster have been asked by the police to come forward.
