Truck Stolen While Eating Noodles

A housewife went out to buy something to eat at a noodle stall and within 10 minutes, she turned around to find that her pickup truck had been stolen – from right behind her back!

While the investigating officer of Dongtan Sub-Station was working at his desk at 7.40 pm on 14th March a lady walked in with a very surprised look on her face saying that her pickup truck had just been stolen. It took the police a while to calm her down before she could give a statement.

Miss Rawi Jitchuen, aged 41, told the police that she resides at View Point Village. Earlier she drove her Nissan pickup truck to the Mae La-Or local market in Soi Wat Boon Karnjanaram Temple to buy some seafood as she was holding a party at home before flying overseas.

On her way back, she stopped at a noodle stand by the road and jumped out to get some noodles, without turning off the engine because there were lots of people in that area – nothing could have happened she thought.

She later regretted this careless act because when she turned around the truck was speeding off – heading for Sukhumvit Road.

The police made a report and are now searching for the truck.

Presumably left the engine running for the air con: Idiot. She deserved to have it stolen.

Flying overseas eh?.

Why do I feel an insurance scam coming on?.

Would insurance cough up in these circumstances?. Shouldn't think so, therefore she may be more stupid than at first reading. :o

You know, maybe upcountry in a rural area, that *might* be okay to do, but anywhere near a big westernized city, it's absolutely ludicrous! And, she's going overseas? I hope she get some anti-naievity lessons before she departs.
