New Rabies Project In Pattaya...........

Nongprue Municipality project on Rabies

Mr. Wichian Bamrungjit, from Chonburi Animal Husbandry Department chaired a meeting about Rabies at Nongprue Municipality Hall on 15th March together with Mr. Mai Chaiyanit, Mayor of Nongprue Municipality.

Since 2000, Chonburi Animal Husbandry Department, local public health centers, and divisions involved have cooperated on trying to lessen problems with rabies which is relevant in Thailand because many people die of the disease every year.

Therefore this project of providing injections for pets to prevent rabies in the entire Sub-district is a good activity. This encourages the residents to bring their pets for the shots and care for them the right way.

On that day dogs and cats in the area were given shots to prevent rabies and also any animal that needed birth control, were sterilized for free.
