Thanakorn Wangbunkhongchana, deputy spokesman of coalition leader Palang Pracharath Party

Thanakorn Wangbunkhongchana, deputy spokesman of coalition leader Palang Pracharath Party, on Sunday slammed Seri Ruam Thai Party leader Seripisuth Temiyavej for accusing the government of being behind the bomb attacks in Bangkok.

Thanakorn said he was disappointed with the former national police chief, insisting it was inconceivable that a government whose principals had run the country for the past five years would deliberately resort to such violence.

He also chastised Pheu Thai Party members for “ridiculing” the victims and concerned citizens on social media, a stance he called inhumane and immature.

Seripisuth alleged on Saturday that the government was behind the bombings, seeking to distract the news media and public from a row over an opposition MP’s accusation that the prime minister deliberately omitted a required phrase during his swearing-in last month.

Skipping the phrase violated the Constitution, Seripisuth charged, and thus invalidated both Prayut’s prime ministerial post and the entire Cabinet’s status.

Thanakorn Wangbunkhongchana fingered Seripisuth Temiyavej or was it Seripisuth Temiyavej who fingered Thanakorn Wangbunkhongchana? I'm confused. The end result was a finger bang either way.

First it was army boss apirat who said, that the usual suspects (as in 2006) were responsible. Those in 2006 were never named or charged, but for the army it’s always an opposition party.

Now, since several muslim insurgents were arrested and confested, apirat should withdraw his statement. However, he did not, it well might mean that he is preparing for an army crackdown, another military coup.

This government, with 19 coalition parties, is very unstable, with a very small majority. In case it collapses, the army is already working on plan b.

Very much spot on. Had the same thought right from the beginning that this was a distraction from so many problems that started with the election being staged for the junta return to the attacks on activists and the constitution crisis regarding the swearing-in. Probably also to divert the attention of the external activists like Pavin being attacked and Faiyen granted refuge status in France. The small explosions were meant to provide the props for distraction and to conveniently put the blame on one side. If the instigators want to bring attention to the ASEAN meeting, a few placards will be more effective than bombs.

Yes yes, must be the government.

No evidence whatsoever but as it suits your political agenda you assume it must be and try and present that as a fact.

How unsurprising.

I am more convinced after you came out strongly and blindly defending the junta government.

There is possibly some truth to this. Every Thai I have spoken to regarding the missing text in his swearing in.. Were clueless about all of it.
