Hello. My friend has to go from Suvarnabhumi after he gets off plane to Don Mueang for his flight to Osaka, JP. I told him he needs to get a visa because he is leaving the airport but he wants to be sure if there is a way so he won't apply for a visa! although i think my answer is correct but since he's persistent i wanted to ask here so people in the know give the right answer so he'll be convinced!

He needs a visa, right?

You are missing the most important information: what nationality is your friend?

After knowing that the question is better answered in the Thai visas forum (I'll ask mods).

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

Unless he is from a country that can get a visa exempt entry or one that can apply for a visa on arrival he will need at least a transit visa issued by a Thai embassy or consulate.

He will have to get a visa before leaving Iran at the Thai embassy there.
