Monty Python's laying circus could lead to the Holy Grail!

A circus of events at a temple in Thailand's south could lead the locals to riches in the upcoming national lottery draw.

The abbot at Wat Nang Phraya in Nakorn Sri Thammarat called in the snake catchers after construction workers at his temple found 15 python eggs.

Now the hunt was on for mum. Monty, for the want of a better name, had fled the scene and hidden somewhere near the crematorium.

Three hours of bashing away at a ceramic area failed to locate her so the abbot called for reinforcements in the form of a mozzie smoke machine to flush her out.

After this failed and those present were beginning to question the Meaning of Life it was decided that using a backhoe was the order of the day.

Just five minutes later Monty was revealed - a 3.15 meter long serpent.

She and her eggs were duly returned to nature.

Then arrived the local experts in their pursuit of The Holy Grail - winning the national lottery that could lead to the Life of Brian....alright Riley.

They cunningly determined that two numbers were likely to come up.

The first is 15, the number of eggs.

The second is 315, the length of Monty.

Such divination and Not the Messiah could bring riches later this week, Thaivisa notes.

More likely he suddenly realised his fried chicken currently running about was dwindling
