Hello Everyone,

So I would like to ask for advices. I am a foreigner living in Thailand since I am 10, being dependent on my parents' visa until seven months ago, when I turned nineteen. I already used up my 2 Tourist Visas, and 2 Border (30 days) Visa. What options should you recommend for me to take?

In a bit after two or three months, I would be able to finish my online degree and get my Non B and Work Permit. But do I really have to go back to my country and spent these two or three months in there? Would it be okay for me to grab the Visa Excempt Rule, or just enroll on a Thai Language School? Looking forward to your opinions.

Thank you very much.

I don't get some aspects of your thread. Your degree is being done online so apart from convenience you could go and chill in somewhere like Vietnam..

Or try for another setv and extend. Visa exempt at airports. Sounds like your 2 visa exempt at border per calendar yr are used already.

As I see it, this is something that you have been aware of for quite a while. ???? You could almost say it´s a little bit bad planning from your side to be 2-3 month late after living in Thailand since you were 10 years old. However, that is not the onlt strange thing. You also seem to have missed all the possibilities to extend visas and permissions to stay during all this time.

You say that you have been having 2 tourist visas, right? That could have been 2x 60 days with a 30 day extension of each one which totals 180 days (6 month)

In combination with that you already got 2 border (assume exempt entries?) Each of those could have been extended 30 days, which gives you anothor total of 4 month.

There you would have had 10 month that with 7 month taken away should have given you the time you needed to finish your study? ????

Anyway, now you´re there with the problem. My advice would be like DrJack54 post above. Try to go get another SETV (Tourist visa) or just finish your study in a nearby country. Trying to fly in and get another exempt entry is a bigger risk of denial, and it will also only give you 30 days + 30 with extension. Even if you get it you might need more and be in the same problem again.

Thank you very much for your advices. I truly did not know that 30 day border visas can actually be extended for another 30 days. Once again, thank you very much, I will keep your advices in mind.
