The first four Stryker M1126 eight-wheeled armoured infantry carrier vehicles were delivered to the Royal Thai Army earlier this week and six more will gradually arrive, in time for the September 12 ceremony to hand over the vehicles to the Army.

Royal Thai Army Commander-in-Chief General Apirat Kongsompong, along with Admiral Phil Davidson, commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command, were present at Don Mueang Military Airport, Wing 6, in Bangkok to welcome a US Air Force Boeing C-17 Globemaster, which transported the four Strykers from Hawaii to Thailand, said the Army’s Facebook page Facebook.com/SmartSoldiersStrongArmy/.

The Thai government had approved the procurement of 37 Stryker vehicles at about Bt80 million each, or a total of Bt2.96 billion, to be commissioned mainly at the 11th Infantry Division in Chachoengsao’s Tha Takiap district and other military units.

Errr... is this the same country that called out Thailand on its undemocratic government and coup.. and then questioned the elections results... yet still happy to take the cash for selling them  military equipment allowing the leadership to maintain power... Right, that's logical!

I think the quick work by the US to deliver the first by plane has more to do with the evolving threat in Cambodia,

'CamChi' or 'ChiCam' new harbour /military base. Bit like a game of chess. It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall to hear the discussions of the US Asia Defence chiefs and how they see it developing.

Certainly hope the Customs Officials have received their 'Brown Envelopes' else these vehicles suffer the same fate of the Malay/Chinese LNG buses and about 10 years ago - all the fire fighting appliances that rotted on the port of Laem Chabang!

Military in the world don't stage 20 coups in 80+ years, increased defense budget while in power instead of allocating for better use like education and healthcare, have 1,500 generals on their payroll, misuse their weaponries on their own people, brought the blimp, aircraft carrier, GT200 which were all duds, submarines that may not able to navigate in the Gulf of Siam, different airplanes that were logistic nightmare and at prices that were alleged compromised. Now you know.

in contrast to US who is at break neck speed in

budget deficit, thai still added less military spending then trump administration military spending increase

I read somewhere that the Thai army has killed more Thais in recent history than foreign soldiers. A lot more.

Did you read that somewhere specific that could back up that assertion?

Did you mean that the Thai army has killed more Thais than it has killed foreign soldiers, or that the Thai army has killed more Thais than foreign soldiers have killed Thais?
