PHUKET: Vachira Phuket Hospital Director Dr Chalermpong Sukontapol staged a press conference today (Aug 30) to deflect wild comments online over one of its doctors calling for donations in order for the hospital to buy a microscope.

The comments flew after hospital doctor Boonlert Sripairojkul posted on Facebook post that the hospital’s icroscope – needed in order to perform microsurgery and neurological surgery – had been used since 2002 and “fixed several times”.

Dr Boonlert said the microscope no longer worked well, which put doctors under a lot of pressure when treating patients.

Yes, I know all gubmints often take care of their own interests, but you make an extremely valid point.

He could step in & make a real difference to the hospital, & gain real popularity.

But I doubt he even cares.

Have to increase the TM30 fine charge to raise more  funds.

Also a  good time to quadruple charges at the hospital for those whitey faces.

maybe some rich dude can pay for it and in exchange, people have to wai to his picture every time they use the machine

dont think for one moment there is no corruption in hospitals

Should talk to the government, couple of weeks ago they were talking about having a meeting to decide what to do with their budget surplus.

Maybe time to read the full article.

I'd like to put their budgeting under the microscope.

I think it has already been earmarked for an overseas fact finding mission to see what other countries do with their budget surpluses.
