Gload food in from other countries... but especially popular were the range of fancy toiletries to be sold on Instagram or Facebook, and also luxury handbags, watches could be purchased to order - it has always been a great little sideline for flight attendants.

Same experience too. This is very common. They give it to their friends who sell it online. Good business for them.

Translation of article.

Customs were not getting a sufficient cut of the profits and made a small bust, issued a painful fine and made a statement to embarrass Thai staff and hammer home the point so that further smuggling runs include sharing of profits with the appropriate officials from Customs.

Reading today's BP I see that the annual Angel's Used Item Sale is taking place today between 11am and 8pm at Seacon Square in Bangkok.

This "features a variety of second hand brand name products belonging to air hostesses and stewards from several airlines ..."

Items on sale include clothes, handbags, shoes, accessories, perfumes, personal goods and collectables.

Who says crime doesn't pay?

This government is taking all the Fun out of Thailand

Well, if you were air crew and tried to do that into, the US, UK, Aussie etc, what would the reaction likely be?

Now, let's see if the same enforcement is applied to the rich private plane owning hiso VIP's when they return from buying sprees.

Dated a number of FA's in the past, including a couple of TG FA's...  They're all at it - Bottles of Champagne out of business class was always a common one, as was bringing a load food in from other countries... but especially popular were the range of fancy toiletries to be sold on Instagram or Facebook, and also luxury handbags, watches could be purchased to order - it has always been a great little sideline for flight attendants.

And why not, what do you think any official travelling O/S does  - and don't tell me they declare everything in their luggage - don't you know who I am?
