Man killed as he picks mangos from a tree.

An unnecessary death now from the Pattaya Lodge in Soi 12 off the Naklua Road. Police Sub-Lieutenant Kanadar from Banglmaung Police Station along with rescue workers was called to the location on Monday Afternoon to investigate a fatality caused by electrocution.

At the scene, Police spoke with the distraught wife of the victim; Khun Sholadar aged 23 and inspected the burnt body of Khun Surasak aged 33. Khun Sholadar explained that the pair had come to pick off mangos from a tree after spotting the fruit tree earlier that day.

Khun Surasak decided to use an aluminum pipe with a bag attached to the end of it and carefully climbed the tree. What he failed to notice were power cables close by and this in combination with a rainstorm caused the man to sustain a fatal electric shock.

He fell from the tree in front of his shocked wife who called the Police. Police recorded the death as an accident.
