U.S embassy screwed us.

Starting Jan 1, 2019 U.S. embassy stopped giving us letters of income, claiming they did't want to be on the hook to guarantee our income. Ok, I get that. Why did't they require all people applying for one just to bring proof in income with them , like pension, social security- ect..  Is this the first sign of all Embassies to start to cancel income letters?

this was already a requirement by the UK embassy but they also ceased to supply letter

yea, there's 4 of them. U.S, UK, AUS, and Demark-  Would seem so simple to me for them to require proof before giving letters-
