For the drink you want it all over the face or you prefer it in a glass? ????

If the second option is your, it should be wise to not take a thai girl with you for this trip.

On an other hand i am not sure the cambo girls are very easy to handle too

Enjoy and give some news

it's always refreshing (But beware the ice cube can hurt)

Unless he was an Aid Worker or a Journalist I doubt that somewhat...

Cambodia is going through rapid development, and it seems they can't seem to find the governance competent enough to  handle the rapid development.

However, as said above, it's only a short hop and certainly cheaper than Thailand these days (for some things) so why not pop over?

It is nice if you have no other choice than to live on low budget, you will get most for your dollars worth. Kind of the same with Laos.
If budget isn't really the issue, neither is visa (elsewhere), I would stick to holidays only.

Question is if (South East) Asia is something for you at all, maybe you will feel more home in countries as Bulgaria etc, cheap / affordable living too.

....beer, cocktails, girls, cannabis, hotels, Indian restaurants.

Now these are the reason to move to Cambodia over thailand   LOL>>>>> BUT for everything else...Thailand wins hands down  and girls are not cheaper unless ur picking them up at Wat Phnom...

So, you've been to school
For a year or two
And you know you've seen it all
In daddy's car
Thinking you'll go far
Back east your type don't crawl

Playing ethnicky jazz
To parade your snazz
On your five-grand stereo
Braggin' that you know
How the nixxxxs feel cold
And the slum's got so much soul

It's time to taste what you most fear
Right Guard will not help you here

Brace yourself, my dear
Brace yourself, my dear

It's a holiday in Cambodia
It's tough, kid, but it's life
It's a holiday in Cambodia
Don't forget to pack a wife

You're a star-belly snitch
You suck like a leech
You want everyone to act like you
Kiss a** while you bitch
So you can get rich
While your boss gets richer off you

Well, you'll work harder
With a gun in your back
For a bowl of rice a day
Slave for soldiers
Till you starve
Then your head is skewered on a stake

Now you can go where the people are one
Now you can go where they get things done
What you need, my son...
What you need, my son...

Is a holiday in Cambodia
Where people are dressed in black
A holiday in Cambodia
Where you'll kiss a** or crack

Pol Pot, Pol Pot, Pol Pot, Pol Pot

It's a holiday in Cambodia
Where you'll do what you're told
It's a holiday in Cambodia
Where the slums got so much soul
Pol Pot

Learn to haggle better.

I met a really nice girl in a Phnom Penh bar last April, attractive, 30 years old, good English, ready to move right in. If I didn't have a gf and kids back in Thailand, it would have been game on. Just like Thailand used to be.

I enjoy Siem Riep and it has an international airport. Pnonh Pen has some very nice cheap hotels but feels like a dangerous city. The Tuk Tuk drivers warned us to strap ourselves to our bags and I noticed nobody is wearing gold like in Thailand. The rest of the country looks like a Chinese casino resort but I've heard Kampoot is still ok.

I would be careful. they are desperate people, much more so then the Thais even if they are less violent. as long as she takes the boyfriend money and sleeps with him a day a week they are very happy to move in with you and pretend that they are visiting family once a week. every now and again the boyfriend might be jealous so she has to go visit a friend thats just had a motorbike accident and is in hospital for half the night. if you cant get the girl out of cambodia, and you cant, its because they have a boyfriend
