My first thought also!

I guess that explains why the Thai prisons are over flowing with Thais. I believe this thread is about immigration which really doesn't arrest Thais unless they violate a immigration law.

They make it up every time. They wasted a lot of money on a toy now have to promote it to not lose face. If you dont put data in, then you have nothing to compare with.

The cost of losing face same same price of stupidity.

I think the news should actually be like this:

Immigration wasted millions of tax payer money for an unreliable biometrics system. Two foreigners were arrested in Thailand who had been blacklisted before, but were not flagged by the biometrics system and were allowed to enter Thailand just by changing their name slightly.

Catch any Thais yet?

No?

Ok thankyou.

Why would the immigration police be catching Thais? That's what the normal police is for.

Fair enough to establish heavy load logistics to catch the bad guys....but what effort is made to woo and keep hold of the good quality guys and make them stay in the country ?

Great... well done immos... though you are behind backwards countries like Afghanistan in biometrics by about 10 years you are certainly making progress...
