Does anyone know If a buyer has a legal argument if a product has been brought from a wholesaler with the intention of profiting from the wholesale price, only for the wholesaler to discount their retail price below the wholesale price and thus leaving the buyer with a product that they can no longer sell at a profit?

These will certainly advise you:

NCPO Thai government. 24 hour Call Center 1111 http://www.1111.go.th/

They deal with any and all complaints related to anything and everything.

Noise, schools, retailers, builders, police or anything else.

Sounds like  bad luck nothing more. I dont see why a wholesaler can't discount their product at a point even though it leaves those who bought it before at a disadvantage.

So you are saying its just bad luck? You buy 2 million bahts worth of product in good faith from a wholesaler. The wholesaler reduces their price below your price leaving you with 2 million bahts worth of product that is now impossible to sale and its just bad luck

Excuse me but why did you title the topic like that? This is a retailer protection, not a consumer protection topic.

You gotta be joking.

I have been Amazon seller for almost 2 decades and this happens all the time in the capitalist USA. Much worse stuff actually.

What people normally do is sell a product at the loss and move to another.

It seems like you don't have what it takes to survive in this business.

You are a wholesaler buying from a wholesaler, there is no CONSUMER protection for you.

A seller can at any time lower prices for his products, even same day after he sold to you, he might want to get rid of his stock or he might want to <deleted> with you..

You can follow his lead with the discount, wait for him to finish sell at discount or continue to try and find buyers who don't know about the other guy's discount...

and possibly bad research/planning on the part of the retailer.......

Without more specific information difficult to judge but unfortunately unless you had some sort of "agreement" with the wholesaler then I doubt there is anything you could do even in a western country.
