Got a free Zyxel 600 series ADSL router with my plan, works ok and all but they've changed the router's password from the default 1234.

Any ideas what they'd change it to? I'll ask here before ringing the dingbats on Monday.

A modem provided by True to me had the password printed on the box underneath the bar-code product data.

Regards

PS They used to use password

Ah yes, that would be the box I threw out a few months ago. Oh well, phone hockey it is then.

When you find which one it is and get your settings working,

I suggest you change the password to your own one to prevent tampering.

Especially if you have a wireless router. :o

Yes, a while ago I hit Loxinfo's IP range and found a couple of routers that had blank passwords and would display the ADSL account passwords in plaintext. Handy if you don't feel like paying for access.

some 2 + years ago I had a Zycel 630 from TRUE and the password wasn't mentioned any where. By ewnter the office from TRUE at Fortune they gave me a password which was placed in Thai Letters in the Modem and I immediatly changed to english of my own.

If you find out, for the love of god, please post the result.

Edit - After a bit of research, I found some relevant info on a thai forum.

Login - true

Password - true

Worked for me, so it should for you (we have the same modem) :o

Edit 2 - After you managed to login in with that, you'll notice all of the features are missing. Now paste this (http://192.168.1.1/passWarning.html) into your browser, change the admin password to whatever you like, and voila.

It was "True Corporation" (in Thai) but typed with the US keyboard layout.
