Quiet Family Man Is Killed As He Persues Snatch....

SOURCE: Pattaya City News: March 28th 2007

Family man killed as he chases two assailants who had just stolen his gold necklace.

A gruesome accident now from the front of the Utit Court Apartments in Soi Beokeow which left a 55 year old man dead.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Pomsawat from Pattaya Police Station was assigned to the case and heard from witnesses that the victim was driving at a high rate of speed along Soi Beokeow shouting to others for help as he was attempting to follow two men who had just snatched his gold necklace.

Khun Bunjong who works as a security guard at the Big C Supercenter in North Pattaya, unfortunately lost control of his motorbike as he approached a sharp curve because of the high rate of speed and collided with a street pylon.

He sustained a fatal head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. Khun Bunjong’s family including his wife and son soon arrived at the location to inspect the carnage for themselves and confirmed that he was a quiet family man.

Police received descriptions of the two assailants from eye witnesses including the make of their bike and are now attempting to locate them.

Is there any way the thieves could be held responsible for his death? I'd like to think so, but somehow I doubt it.
