I have been on a retirement visa for several years.

I have been reading about the requirement for insurance on a Non O-A visa.

I cannot find any stamps in my passport that state the visa type apart from Non Imm. There is another box but these are all obliterated by

th IO signature.

Is there an easy way to find if I am on Non O or Non O-A

i assume your your non-o or non-oa visa is an old passport.

When you get a new passport they do a stamp that has space on it for info about the visa on the first page of it that the visa type on it.

This is the section of it that I have in my new passport.

Thank you ubonjoe. I found I was on a Non O

one difference is.

Extending for retirement.

Non-O; insurance is not currently needed.

Non-OA: insurance is currently needed.

I came into Thailand on a Non O from the Denver consulate in the US in 2004. I got the extension based on retirement 1 year later. Following year I started working and got the extension Non B and a WP. 6 years later left my job and got the extension based on retirement once again. So I assume my Visa type is Non O and as of now anyway insurance will not be required ?

You are still on the non-b visa entry that you have been extending for several years. Still nothing to worry about since you are not on a OA visa entry that has been extended.
